Homecare is an incredibly personal service, and our clients have a wide range of needs and preferences. For some, assistance is required to safely complete activities of daily living (ADLs) while for others, cognitive issues are at the forefront. In many cases, homecare addresses a variety of physical, cognitive and emotional needs while improving a senior’s quality of life. That’s why we’re here, after all—to help seniors live well and feel their best.
Living Assistance Services is dedicated to helping seniors live safely and independently in their own homes for as long as possible. Our skilled, dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) are the best in the business, and we support clients throughout Toronto, Mississauga and the surrounding areas. Here’s an overview of who we typically work with—if you have any questions or would like a quote for high quality homecare services, please contact us. We’d be glad to hear from you.
Seniors with physical limitations
Homecare is a great option for seniors with physical limitations due to their age or a chronic health condition. This includes frailty, muscle loss, neuromuscular disorders (Parkinson’s Disease, ALS, etc), mobility issues, chronic pain and other conditions that impact one’s ability to function independently.
Seniors with cognitive impairment
Many of our clients have Alzheimer’s Disease, a brain injury from a stroke or another condition that causes dementia. Our caregivers are able to provide gentle guidance and support to these clients while maintaining a calm, safe and positive environment in their home.
Seniors who live alone
Isolation is a genuine health risk to seniors, but fortunately, it’s a preventable situation. Our PSWs are able to provide joyful companionship as well as nutritional support, personal care and light housekeeping. We can also assist with transportation to appointments, social events and/or to run errands, upon request.
Individuals recovering from an injury, surgery or serious illness
Whether your aging loved one requires part-time care, full-time care, 24/hour assistance, respite care or convalescent care, Living Assistance Services is here to help. Our caregivers are available to support seniors during or after cancer treatment, after a surgical procedure, after a fall or injury, or while they recover from a serious illness. We can also provide in-home or supplementary palliative care as needed.
Thanks as always for reading and please reach out to our team to learn more about high quality homecare services in Toronto, Mississauga and the surrounding communities. We wish you all the best in this New year!
