A registered nurse behind every care plan
At Living Assistance Services, a registered nurse is involved from day one. The nurse completes the initial assessment, writes the care plan, and supervises caregivers throughout your service. This means clinical decisions are made by a qualified professional, and your caregiver always has nursing direction to follow. When something changes, the nurse adjusts the plan and communicates with your health team. We also offer dedicated wound care services and can coordinate nursing support alongside funded care from Ontario Health atHome.
As part of the Integracare family, we have served Ontario families for over 35 years. Our nurses are selected for clinical skill and clear communication, and our caregivers are trained through Nevvon, a leading digital platform. Great Place to Work Certified, Excellence Canada, and ISO 9001:2015 recognised.
Why families trust Living Assistance Services for home nursing
We have cared for Ontario families for over 35 years as part of the Integracare family. What sets us apart is our nurse-led model: every care plan is built and supervised by a registered nurse, not simply delivered by a caregiver. Families get clinical accountability at every visit.
Our caregivers are rigorously screened through Vulnerable Sector Screening, trained on Nevvon, and supported daily by the nursing team. We hold ISO 9001:2015 certification, Excellence Canada recognition, and Great Place to Work status. We are an Ontario Health atHome provider and accept clients through the public system as well as private pay.

Frequently asked questions
What does home nursing care include?
Home nursing care covers the clinical services a registered nurse provides in the home: health assessments, medication administration and management, wound care, injections, catheter care, chronic disease monitoring, post-hospital recovery support, and care plan supervision of personal support workers. The range of services depends on the client's needs and is set out in the care plan.
Do you provide registered nurses for home care?
Yes. At Living Assistance Services, every care plan is built and supervised by a registered nurse. Registered nurses complete the initial assessment, write and update the care plan, and supervise caregivers throughout the service. Registered Practical Nurses may deliver direct clinical care under the nursing model.
Can you help with wound care, medication management, and injections at home?
Yes. Our nurses provide wound assessment and dressing changes, medication administration (including injections), and complete medication management at home. We coordinate with your physician and pharmacist and document everything in the care record.
How does nurse oversight of caregivers work?
A registered nurse builds the care plan that every caregiver follows. The nurse visits regularly to reassess the client, update the plan, and review caregiver documentation. Caregivers can reach the nursing team at any time if something changes between scheduled visits. This clinical supervision layer is what distinguishes our service from basic home support.
How do I get started with home nursing care?
Call 1.855.483.2273 or book a free in-home assessment online. A registered nurse will meet with your family, assess the clinical needs, and build a care plan. In most cases, care can begin within 24 to 48 hours. We also accept referrals from physicians, discharge planners, and Ontario Health atHome.
